would like to introduce you to Anthony Galui, a 6-year-old who was helped by
Easter Seals Michigan, one of the 21 Community Health Charities of Michigan
local agencies. His mother Antonia shares, "At the age of 2, Anthony still
wasn't speaking. Speech therapy provided by Easter Seals helped Anthony
learn speech and language skills and occupational therapy helped him
strengthen his motor skills. Easter Seals gave him all of the skills that
he needed to use in school and in everyday life. As a mother, they gave me
a sense of hope that Anthony would be able to have a future. They gave me a
lot of support. Without Easter Seals, Anthony wouldn't be where he is
today."
Today, we are happy to report that Anthony no longer needs speech therapy,
attends regular kindergarten, and most recently, learned to write his name!
The Galui family represents one of thousands of success stories of Community
Health Charities of Michigan member agencies. Anthony would not have been
helped without people like you. Joining with donors throughout Michigan you
are supporting over one million people across the state who are stricken by
a variety of health conditions. Those conditions include heart disease,
cancer, stroke, diabetes and many others. It is gifts like yours that make
Anthony well today and others like him better tomorrow.
